An all new range of infusion stands has been released. Tested to BS 3619:1976 Mobile Infusion Stands Appendix A (Stability Requirements), the infusion stands feature a five-leg steel base with low centre of gravity which is polyurethane overmoulded, providing a water-resistant surface with smooth edges & contours. All surfaces are accessible, allowing for easy & effective cleaning (including steam cleaning). The base also provides a shield for the castors, impact protection to patients & staff along with offering protection to the fabric of the building.
A range of coloured indicator caps (spearmint / blue / green / red / yellow) provides department identification & segregation, reducing the risk of cross contamination. The height adjustable pole uses a handwheel with clear visible touch points (1,260 – 2,100mm) & can be supplied with two or four pigtail hooks, (max 4kg per stand). The range is ‘infusion pump ready’ & suitable for use with up to two infusion pumps / syringe drivers which can be clamped to the central upright (max 4kg per stand). For additional ‘patient safety’ an optional handle is available, keeping feet clear of the base whilst also assisting manoeuvrability. The range is fitted with durable 50mm polypropylene/thermoplastic rubber twin-wheel non-marking castors (1 x anti-static).
Two new ranges of reclining armchairs have been released. Designed specifically for the healthcare environment, the new chairs use high quality components, are upholstered using flame retardant antimicrobial vinyl & feature 150mm wide supportive cushioned arms, masking them ideal for use in oncology, dialysis or haematology for intravenous cannulation, where a patient may be seated for a prolonged period, or alternatively in recovery following minor treatment.
The Alweston is designed for everyday comfort with a contoured support back and a choice of electric or manual tilt in space mechanisms. The chair has limited seams and simple lines to assist with cleaning. The chair is fitted with a fixed Easiform reflex seat cushion as standard, designed for general comfort. Where additional support is required, alternative pressure management seat cushions are available.
The Ashington features a waterfall back and winged sides, providing additional support and comfort. Specific comfort and pressure management needs can be managed through a range of seat cushions constructed from specialist pressure care materials. Available as either a manual tilt in space recliner or electric single tilt in space or single tilt in space recliner with rise function, the chairs provide postural support, pressure care management along with assistance from sitting to a stand position.
Along with seat pressure management cushions, options include arm caps, headrests, USB charging and a fully adjustable wireless charging table.
